An Unusual Presentation of MEN-1

Abstract

MEN-1 is a rare autosomal dominant disorder characterized by the occurrence of tumors, both benign and malignant, of the parathyroid glands, the pancreas, and the anterior pituitary gland. Its incidence varies and it can occur as a sporadic event or as a familial trait. Multiple other associated tumors and disorders are associated with the familial trait, which should be considered as each patient and their laboratory values are evaluated by their family physician.
